Robert P. Louthan

“Bob" has a diverse background that includes major engineering and construction projects, manufacturing management, venture capital, private equity, mergers and acquisitions, and general management with P&L responsibility. He served as a Senior Project Engineer for International Paper Company in Georgetown, SC, was the General Manager of a Division of Hammermill Paper Company in Birmingham, AL, and was Operations Manager for American Filtrona Company in Richmond, VA. He entered the finance industry in 1994 as VP of Virginia Capital of Richmond, a served as VP of Waterside Capital of Norfolk, VA from 1998 to 2000. In 2000, he founded Stony Point Capital, an M&A advisory firm, ultimately merging with AOCP in March of 2004.

Bob earned a Civil Engineering Degree from the Virginia Military Institute in 1982 and received his MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia in 1986. He currently serves as a Director on the Board of the Alumni Association at VMI.

Bob has served as a Director on the Board of First Colony Coffee, a $50 million gourmet coffee manufacturer headquartered in Norfolk. He also served as a commissioned officer in the United States Army Reserve as a Combat Engineer from 1982 to his Honorable Discharge in 1996. He is an ordained Elder in the First Presbyterian Church of Richmond and is a NASD registered representative with series 7, 63, 24, and 28 licenses. Bob and his wife, Katherine, have three sons.
